Planning Your Bear Hunt
Getting There
You will fly from your hometown to Anchorage, Alaska. Since most flights from the lower 48 arrive during the night, you will need to stay overnight in Anchorage. The next day (the day your hunt begins) you will be picked up by car and driven to Willow (about 1.5 hour drive.) Weather permitting, you will board the bush plane in Willow immediately, and fly to the remote cabin to start your hunt.
Gear
We will send you a detailed gear list when you book. Each hunter is allowed 75 lbs. of gear on the bush plane from Willow into camp. Please bring soft gun cases for your guns, as these will fit in our aircraft. Hard cases may be left at our office in Willow.
License and tags
You will purchase these online in the spring of the year you hunt. We will send out an informational email to guide you through the process. All tags are over-the-counter and must be purchased before the hunt begins.
Non-resident license & tag prices:
Hunting license $160.00
Brown bear tag $1000.00 each
Black bear tag $450 each
