     Steve White the owner and operator of Alaska Guide and Outfitting Service is a master guide and commercial bush pilot. He has been hunting and flying this same country for over 30 years. He owned Willow Air for 25 years doing well over 1500 moose hunts. There is no one who knows this country any better. He Has exclusive areas on the Innoko Wildlife Refuge that no other Guide can hunt. The experience and exclusive areas in some of the best moose country in Alaska is the reason we have had so many 100% seasons in recent years. Not only does Steve have extensive knowledge of the area but our guides and staff are some of the best in Alaska, Our head guide Troy Kitchel has hunted the Innoko river since 1992 and is one of the best moose callers on the planet. He trains and hires all our guides and makes sure we have the best staff in the industry.

    Another thing to consider is safety. Alaska is a very dangerous place to fly in and there is no substitute for experience. Steve does not only have thousands of hours flying in the bush of Alaska but he has thousands of hours flying in and out of this very country you are hunting. His first trip to the Innoko River was in 1989. He knows this country like the back of his hand. There is no commercial pilot in Alaska who knows the country better. Most outfitters hire an air taxi to do their flying. Many have very little knowledge of area since they fly to so many different places and have such a turnover in pilots. Many are just getting experience so they can move on to flying for the airlines. Another thing about air taxies is they make their money flying and book flights every day. When the weather gets bad they get behind and even if the weather is good the day you are scheduled to fly in or out they might still be getting caught up from the flights they missed due to bad weather. Believe me - you are not their priority but with Steve you are. Delays before and after the hunt are much less likely with us since we have a dedicated DeHavilland Beaver just for our hunts. No one else could do this for so few hunters but Steve has owned this airplane since 1997. Steve’s son is an airplane mechanic with 25 years’ experience and he works at the best Beaver repair facility in Alaska so the plane is maintained to the highest standards.
